iPowerWeb , with over 200,000 active members, has become one of the dominant web hosting companies on the market today. iPowerWeb started in late 2001. Their simple offerings and huge advertising campaigns throughout the net helped grow their customer base quickly, but with this fast pace, iPowerWeb had to overcome some growing pains in customer service.
iPowerWeb's pricing is simple and offers users a great value for their dollar. They only have one package, priced at $7.95 per month. This includes a complete web hosting package, with 2000 MB storage space and 50 GB of web hosting traffic. A number of good features are provided, including MySQL, PHP and FrontPage support. All in all, iPowerWeb offers excellent value and is a highly recommended web host.
iPowerWeb has a pricing structure that is very simple and offers users a great value. For only $7.95 a month, you receive the complete web hosting package described above. In general, they provide everything typically offered by the premium web hosting accounts - but for only $7.95 a month. Overall, $7.95 is a good price to pay for this type of package. One negative is that we do not like the fact the company does not provide a toll-free support line.
When compared to other web hosting companies, iPower Web hosting's servers seem to be above average. iPowerWeb servers have excellent uptime, and this seems to be improving.
iPowerWeb announced on June 1, 2004 that it has signed an exclusive contract with SWsoft, a developer of web hosting automation software, to provide Plesk 7 control panel to iPowerWeb's dedicated server customers. SWsoft introduced Plesk 7, the most recent version of its control panel application for managing Linux, Unix and Windows-based servers, in February. SWsoft also offers Plesk Expand, an add-on to Plesk 7, which unifies web hosting environments with multiple servers running on varying platforms.
iPower Web's customer service has vastly improved over the past year. In the past, you would be put on hold for an unacceptable length of time. They would then possibly direct you to an answering service if you were on hold too long or if they were receiving other calls. With recent improvements, now you can usually reach a support person within five to ten minutes. Their phone number also often becomes quite busy during certain times of the day. Furthermore, when you are a new user with the system, they do not take orders over the phone. Instead, they require that you place the order online. On the plus side, e-mail support has always above average at iPowerWeb.
